A Tesla competitor: Lucid Air

A new video from Lucid Motors shows their electric Air sedan defeating

Tesla's Model S ran the quarter-mile in an astoundingly fast 9.9 seconds.

Its flagship vehicle has reached a range of 520 kilometres on a single charge.

According to Car and Driver, the Lucid Air drove one mile in 15 hours and 41 minutes.

which is 33 minutes quicker than the Model S from Tesla.

95 minutes were spent charging the Air during that time.

Only when moderator Brooks Weisblat turned off Tesla's launch mode did the Model S Plaid by Tesla prevail.

This improves the Model S Plaid's acceleration, enabling it to go from zero to 60 mph in in 1.99 seconds.

Both the 2022 Lucid Air and the Model S from Tesla have standard four-year/50,000-mile warranties.

However, Tesla's Engine Warranty is a little better, covering the powertrain and batteries for eight years and 150 000 miles.
