Guard Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks is in his fifth season of professional basketball.
He has guided the Hawks (13-11) to the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Ryan Russillo and Bill Simmons of The Ringer concurred while talking about Young's circumstance in Atlanta that
They do not want to base their team's foundation on Young.
Both analysts agreed that they would prefer 8 current guards under the age of 30 to Young.
Russillo thinks that Young's weakness as a leader and defender is the cause of his decline.
Additionally, according to Simmons, Ice Trae, a client of Klutch Sports, gets a hefty contract in exchange for his contributions.
It makes creating a structure around him more difficult.
Young is not considered to be any superior to the aforementioned eight guards when it comes to playing successful basketball.
