The Irish boxer thinks that "The Eagle" chose to retire rather than face him again.

After defeating Justin Gaethje by submission at UFC 254 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Khabib Nurmagomedov retired.

Following a promise he made to his mother after the death of his father, Khabib Nurmagomedov ended his career in mixed martial arts.

Conor McGregor has criticised the Russian for not wanting to come out of retirement to take him on once more.

In since-deleted tweets, the Irishman claimed that the Russian "wet the bed" when he retired.

At UFC 229, McGregor and Khabib squared off, but the Irishman lost to the Russian by fourth-round submission.

Conor also said that if this fight ever happened, his own father would slap Nurmagomedov.

He even uploaded a picture of their game with the caption:

"Lion King shivers in fear. Unscathed. They won't do a thing. Wait until I get up; I'm going to beat the entire family.

The lot is atop the cage. There's a f***ing lion lazing around. And a rat was knawing."
