Breel Embolo was the star of the show for Switzerland on Thursday as they kicked off their World Cup campaign.
Embolo gave his team all three points for the day by scoring the lone goal in the Group G match against Cameroon.
The goal was scored by the Monaco forward in the 48th minute after receiving a pass from Xhedran Shaqiri.
Embolo garnered admiration for his refusal to celebrate his goal by doing so.
Embolo was born in Cameroon, where his family continues to live today. The Swiss striker made the decision not to rejoice for this reason.
Embolo came close to adding a second goal to the game. However, everyone will remember him favourably for not celebrating against Cameroon.
The Swiss will now play the powerful Brazil in their following game,
and they will need Embolo to score goals once more.
