Lucid Air: A Tesla Rival?

Lucid Motors has released a new video showing their electric Air sedan beating

Teslas Model S in the quarter-mile with a crazy impressive time of 9.9 seconds.

Its flagship car has just achieved 520 miles of range on a single charge.

Car and Driver says the Lucid Air completed a 1-mile drive in 15 hours, 41 minutes

which is 33 minutes faster than Teslas Model S.

The Air spent 95 minutes charging during that period.

The following chart, organized by efficiency, shows how much energy each of Teslas 2022 models, as well as the Lucid Air, uses for every 100 miles driven.

The Model S Plaid by Tesla won out only after moderator Brooks Weisblat turned off Teslas launch mode

which boosts the Model S Plaids acceleration, helping it to zip from nil to 60 miles per hour in a mere 1.99 seconds.

On the warranty front, both Teslas Model S and the 2022 Lucid Air come with a basic four-year/50,000-mile coverage

but Teslas Powertrain Warranty is slightly better, with an eight-year/150,000-mile coverage on both powertrain and battery.
