JaMychal Green has been fined $20,000 by the NBA.

Golden State lost to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night by a score of 130-119,

The former Alabama star was penalised on Thursday night, according to Joe Dumars,

The NBA's chief of basketball operations, "for directing obscene and abusive remarks toward a game official."

Green signed a $2,628,597, one-year contract with Golden State in August after being a free agent.

In 2006 and 2008, Green coached St. Jude of Montgomery to AHSAA Class A titles. As a senior, he also received Alabama's Mr. Basketball Award.

Green's averages in 499 NBA regular-season games were 7.8 points and 5.7 rebounds.

 Despite participating in 49 postseason games, he hasn't advanced to the NBA Finals.

 On June 23, during draught night, the Nuggets traded Green to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
