Elon Musk today shared some fresh information on the Cybertruck via Twitter, his preferred social media platform.
The Cybertruck will be waterproof enough to double as an amphibious vehicle for brief periods of time, according to a letter from Tesla's CEO.

According to Elon, "Cybertruck will be waterproof enough to temporarily double as a boat, so it can cross rivers, lakes, and even calm seas."
Musk has previously stated in a tweet that the Cybertruck would first float while being propelled by the rotation of its wheels.
The model will initially be available in three variations, the most basic of which has an electric motor and a range of more than 400 kilometres and can accelerate to 96 km/h in 6.5 seconds.
The variant with two electric motors can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in 4.5 seconds and has a range of more than 480 kilometres per charge.
